Networking

-- Your link to the advertising world --

Friendships are one of the most rewarding benefits of AAF Lincoln membership. These friendships are built in small, relaxed committees that allow you to actively participate in AAF projects. A variety of social events are sponsored throughout the year to bring members and guests together and encourage the free exchange of ideas. Our monthly luncheon programs also provide you the opportunity to meet your peers and build relationships based on common interests and goals.

Learning & Professional Development

-- A roomful of advancement --

AAF Lincoln provides professionals and students many learning opportunities through educational programs, seminars and services. The monthly luncheon programs feature speakers from across the country who address a variety of topics related to the advertising business. Scholarships are awarded annually by the AAF Lincoln Student Scholarship Program to area students working towards degrees in advertising or related fields.

Committee Involvement

-- Joining a Committee --

AAF Lincoln strives to involve their members in many aspects of the club. Committees are a perfect way to not only network and lend your talents but really get involved with the club to help make a difference. Look at the choices, then let us know what area you would like to lend a hand.

MEMBERSHIP
This is the core of our organization and committee members are encouraged to help with the annual membership drive. This committee seeks to recruit advertising and marketing professionals to join our ranks. They help "meet and greet" new members at our monthly luncheons to make sure everyone feels welcome.

EDUCATION
AAF Lincoln takes pride in its relationship with area colleges and universities. The education committee plans and organizes Ad Camp, which is a day in November filled with learning and networking with national, regional and local pros.

ADDY® Awards
The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence. Members are encouraged to submit their best work in this competition. The ADDYs committee organizes the judging of entries and both plans and executes the awards show in February. This is a three-level competition: local, district and national. AAF Lincoln and AAF Omaha alternate years with the big show, so in the off years, this committee handles the student ADDY competition.

PUBLIC SERVICE
Each year AAF Lincoln selects a non-profit organization to work with and provide assistance in advertising and marketing. Local non-profits submit an application and list their area of need. The committee then executes the designated plans to the non-profit.

SPECIAL EVENTS
The Special Events committee is a fun-loving, hard-working group that is responsible for coordinating and executing two annual social and fundraising events, Taste of the Vine and Winterfest Ales & Auction. These events are open to the public and give AAF Lincoln a chance to showcase our organization within our community.

PROGRAMS
The Programs committee is responsible for securing entertaining, educational and relevant speakers to further the professional development of our membership.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
Legislative issues impacting advertising and its related professions are monitored by the Government Relations committee. A legislative reception, sponsored by Omaha and Lincoln clubs, is held each year to meet with legislators and discuss topics affecting our industry.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY
AAF Lincoln seeks to provide advertising information to local minorities and assist them when possible in attaining their advertising goals. This committee coordinates the monthly "Minority Report" for the club newsletter, as well as, works to facilitate a connection between the club and the local community.

COMMUNICATIONS
Communications is responsible for the club's monthly newsletter, along with press releases and other informational platforms dispensing news to our members and our community.

Membership in AAF Lincoln provides you access to monthly speakers and networking within our strong local industry. Serving on a committee will only strengthen your club membership and you just might have a good time while doing so.
