One of the foundations of the American Advertising Federation is to recognize great work. Not only does this refer to stellar content recognized through the ADDY Awards, but also to recognize the hard work and enthusiasm shown by local clubs and their members. The Ad Pro award is given to someone who has been in the advertising industry for more than five years and has made contributions to the industry and particularly to AAF Lincoln. Ad Rookie of the Year is awarded based on the same credentials to someone who has been in the industry for fewer than five years.

AD ROOKIE - This year's Ad Rookie has been a member of the board for two years. It's hard enough to be a new member of the board, but our winner planned her first Winterfest without a co-chair for the first several months. Despite this, she planned a successful event. She also was co-creator of our new volleyball event, the Sands-Serif Showdown. We have all appreciated her leadership, great ideas, hard work and professionalism - even during difficult situations. That is why this year's Ad Rookie of the Year is Mandy Haase (Thought District).
