Joy Patten

Executive Vice President and General Manager, Three Eagles Communications

AAF Lincoln's 2012 Recipient

The American Advertising Federation of Lincoln is pleased to present the 2012 Silver Medal for outstanding contributions to the advertising community to Joy Patten, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Three Eagles Communications - Lincoln

Joy has been involved with AAF-L for nearly twenty years including two terms on the board. She has served on the Membership, Government Relations, Special Projects and Public Service committees during her career. Joy was AAF Lincoln's 2004-2005 Ad Pro of the Year and has a distinguished track record of service to AAF-L.

Joy started at KFOR radio in 1981 as a part-time clerical worker and within two years she became the KFRX Business Manager. Joy was then promoted to KFOR Traffic Manager and held that position until 1992 when she applied her skills in the sales arena for the station. In 1996, she was promoted to KFOR Sales Manager and in 2004 KFOR Station Manager. In December 2006, Joy was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Development and Administration of Three Eagles Communications. Since 2009, she holds her current title of Executive Vice President and General Manager for the Lincoln stations.

Joy was born and raised in Lincoln and is a graduate of East High School and Lincoln School of Commerce. In addition the AAF-L, she has served in various community organizations including the Star Tran Advisory Board, the American Heart Association and Bright Lights. Joy has also been involved with The Sertoma Club of Lincoln, has served on the Allocation Committee for the United Way and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Nebraska Broadcasters Association.

Joy has been married for 22 years to John Patten, and they have two sons, Jacob 16 and Joshua 11.
