News: Category - Upcoming Events Winterfest Ales & Auction: Have a Great Time, Support a Great Cause!(Monday, January 1, 2007) The Advertising Federation of Lincolnís annual fundraiser, Winterfest Ales & Auctions, returns in January with a lot to live up to! Last year, there was a recording-setting attendance with nearly 600 people sampling the ales and food of the season. Winterfest will return on Saturday, January 27, in the Lancaster Building at State Fair Park. Tickets will be $20 in advance and available at all Lincoln and Beatrice T.O. Haas Tire outlets or $25 at the door. Tickets will go on sale the first week in January.Winterfest Ales & Auction is a beer loverís dream! With your admission, you are invited to sample a variety of beers, lagers and ales from many of Nebraskaís finest brewers and distributors such as Spilker Ales and Empyrean Ales. However, if beer isnít your beverage of choice, there will be an amazing line-up of food to sample from local restaurants/caterers such as Garden Blends and HyVee Catering, along with live music from amazing blues artist Levi William and his band. And thatís not all Ö as the name implies, our event includes an outstanding silent auction that features quality items and services from Lincoln organizations. The proceeds from our fundraiser will benefit AFLís scholarship fund, hosting the 9th District Conference, along with the public service project, Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach, so your support is crucial as we prepare to meet all the needs of the club and community.
