A Letter From the President(Saturday, May 1, 2010) Wow, is it May already? This fiscal year has gone by much faster than I anticipated.Looking back, this club has accomplished a lot since June 1, 2009. Our Board of 16, and their invaluable committee members, has helped to bring our 250 members: - Nine great luncheon speakers, providing further insight and learning opportunities to our area, - Four stellar fund raising events:
- One full day of learning and fun at Ad Camp for more than 50 college students from across the state, - Three $1,000 scholarships for deserving advertising students, - The Nebraska ADDY Awards and District 9 ADDY awards - A great awareness campaign and donor video for our Public Service Recipient, Clinic With a Heart. As we near the end of this fiscal year, we have our tenth membership lunch featuring a home-grown achiever, Jared Hardy, to speak on the good, the bad and the ugly he has witnessed in his growing career. At this luncheon, we will also honor Clinic With a Heart one final time, and announce the 2010-2011 Public Service Recipient. May is also the time to thank those that have served on the board and provide them with the great recognition they have earned on a local and national level... more on that to come! We hope you'll join us to share in the fun, and we look forward to seeing you next year, because this ride is just getting started! I thank you for allowing me to serve as your President.
