AAF Lincoln Public Service(Saturday, May 1, 2010) The video is a wrap and the brochure is out in the community telling everyone about the needs and the services of Clinic With a Heart. The Public Service Committee and all AAF Lincoln members can puff up their collective chests just a bit. As a club, we did a good thing for our community to support an organization that provides free urgent medical care to our neighbors who do not have health care insurance.The celebration will continue at the May meeting where the club's financial contribution to Clinic With a Heart will be made. This generosity is possible through the special events that are held each year to benefit our public service recipient -- Taste of The Vine, Winterfest and the Malley Keelan Christmas Concert. Chris Linville, Public Service Committee Chair for 2010-11 will announce next year's recipient out of a record 17 that were submitted -- all worthy of AAF help. |
