What drove you to get into the advertising biz?
I have a passion for video production. I think that connecting with people and creating things that people will actually see is really cool! Also, I really enjoy the quick turn around. Working on a lot of projects keeps things interesting and fun!
Describe a typical day in your life...
Well, usually wake up, no breakfast (I know I should, but when I do I actually feel less energized), and then I go into work. The rest of my day blurs by with editing, shooting, random movie rants from coworkers and other types of production work. Usually I keep pretty busy. From preproduction to post, I could do it all in a day. Then when I get home I like to grill up some chicken, sit on my balcony (9th floor), watch TV, and relax or sometimes I will work on a side project.
What do you like best about what you do?
I love interacting with the people in our industry. Whether it is a client, coworker, or anyone else, I really enjoy the collaborative process and making something together as a team. Everyone has unique talents and abilities, and I love to see those shining. I also like the entire process of making a product, from pre-production to post. Then, the feeling of being done with a well produced product that everyone is proud of is out of this world.
What do you find challenging in our industry?
The biggest challenge in our industry today has to be the market we are after. Whether it is short attention spans, in your face media, or something else, people today are constantly changing. I think that it is fun trying to find new ways to connect with them, hold their interest, and stay on top of those changes.
How do you hope to make the advertising industry better?
I want to revolutionize it! Shoot for the moon right?!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to play video games. Right now I am pretty far into God of War 3 and I can't wait for Red Dead Redemption. But other than that I love filmmaking and telling stories. I also watch movies, read books, and chill. Usually I also have a side project going on where I can learn about whatever it is I am interested in at the time.
