Aaron Draplin's rabblerousing lecture explores Draplin Design Co.'s origin, proof of existence in the cutthroat design world and offers up a couple tall tales that illustrate their commitment to independence, spirited exploration and good design for all who trust the DDC with their projects. Using state-of-the-art multimedia methods, they tackle categories along the lines of: Helping Those Who Need A Hand, Missed Opportunities, Wiener Dogs, Freedom, Humility, Diligence and Believing In One's Self. One night only, Lincoln!

Aaron Draplin Bio:
Raised in the Michigan Northwoods, Aaron James Draplin threw it all away at the tender age of 19 and hit the road for the West; Snowboarding all over Oregon, washing dishes in Alaska, earning a hi-falutin' design degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, art directing a snowboarding magazine in the Southern California and ultimately being rescued back to Portland, Oregon. After a jam-packed two-year stint at the Cinco Design Office, he stood up on his own two feet to start the Draplin Design Co., armed with a seven-pound dachshund and an iron will. Seven years later, he's proud to report he's still going strong with clients all over the nation, and hell, even a couple abroad. He owes it all to his parents. Really.
