Interactive Developer
Description:
We’re looking for an Interactive Developer to help us create compelling websites and other online applications for a fast-growing, forward-thinking brand strategy and design firm. The position requires collaboration with Creative Directors and Art Directors to conceptualize and implement interactive solutions, a strong background in front-end development/HTML production, and a great sense and knowledge of design and usability. The position is more developer-focused than design-focused but can expand depending on skill set and desire. Passion, hard work, and a constant hunger to learn are absolute musts, as this person will be a catalyst in building our interactive department.
Qualifications:
- Work well under pressure, fast, detail-oriented- At least 2 years of experience is strongly encouraged
- Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash
- Proficiency with standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP
- Must be internet savvy and on top of new trends and developments in their area of focus.
- Must show willingness to learn and explore new options and solutions
- Understands interaction as a holistic field, including traditional websites, rich internet applications, mobile applications, and gaming interfaces
- Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques
Preferable but not required:
- Experience with 3D motion graphics and/or video editing software
- Experience and ability to work with off-the-shelf CMS solutions such as Drupal, Wordpress, and Joomla
- Knowledge of/experience in developing or designing for hand-held devices
