- Applicants must be full-time Nebraska students, enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a course of study in the areas of advertising, marketing, public relations, communication, or commercial art. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen.
- Applicants will be judged by a panel of advertising professionals. Finalists will be interviewed by the panel. Scholarships will be paid in the form of credit at the student's college or university.

Applicants must also submit a statement describing in detail their interest in receiving a scholarship and why they should be selected. While not required, applicants may submit up to three samples of work demonstrating their ability. Layouts, copy, illustrations, tapes, marketing plans, media plans, etc., are acceptable. Samples must be unframed and have a photocopy of their completed AAF Lincoln Scholarship Application.
- The completed application, letter and samples must be mailed or delivered to the AAF Lincoln Scholarship Chair at the address listed below.
- Finalists for the three AAF Lincoln scholarships will be contacted in late October to participate in an interview with the judging panel. You will be notified of when and where the interview will take place at that time. Therefore, current and/or alternative telephone numbers must be included on the application form.
- Applications must be signed, dated and received no later than Friday, October 19, 2009. Scholarships will be presented at the Ad Camp luncheon in November.
